Well congratulations! thats awesome I know you were non too fond of her leaving, Make sure she gets a decent pair of snow tires on whatever she drives if your descriptions are accurate she will need them to be safe. If you've never tried them I strongly recommend Bridgstone Blizzak tires if you can't run chains they seem to be the next best thing.

I swear by those things. You can stop on a sheet of ice literally. The one year we had a snow storm they were calling the snowpocalypse. The hospitals all brought in extra generators. I had a 4wd Honda Civic with a creeper gear and I was driving around in 1 and a half feet of snow no problem, in a honda civic! Heck I even pulled a couple small ranger s10 type pickups out of the ditch that day.

We can't have you ruining your image I hear thats important.

On coming to visit, You've convinced its a place worth seeing so I may just make the drive out when I know the next show is happening(Once I figure out which band is yours) and just watch that and explore a bit, As I've said in the past I wouldn't want to be an inconvenience I am reasonably sure if I really wanted to see your mountain I'd be able to find it without bugging you.

We use studded tires in this household. ;-)

Those are illegal here or I would have tried them out at some point. Don't those make a ton of road noise though?

They aren't that loud, no. They're louder than normal tires, but the snow/ice deadens 'em.
