I've come over from Voat/GA, refugeed from Reddit/CBTS. I'm not super stupid regarding technology and online awareness and privacy, but I was wondering if old Goats could help the non-so-tech-geeky step up our game... ... Maybe recommend an "ideal set-up" starting at 'Budget' and then providing ways of adding-on/upgrading from there. I know when Voat announced they were shutting down the shop, there were recommendations on what to do/where to go, and a lot of people didn't know what imageboards were. What's the easiest and least expensive machine/OS? - What should people definitely stay away from? What's the best entry-level VPN? - Best upgrade? Best way to archive offline? Other things we should know how to do / tips from the Pros? Maybe it's a little late in the game for this conversation... Hopefully POTUS and Mil will soon be swiftly executing The Plan...
