So, if it's spreading in cities (which based on how easily it seems to spread appears likely) they aren't going to test until they get a large group of unknown pneumonia Yes, with likely community spread in other countries, we need liberal testing criteria. Another worrying fact is that 10% (JAMA study) presented with GI symptoms (i.e. no cough or fever); those were the patients that ended up infecting unprotected healthcare workers. Risk is much higher if it really can spread before symptoms appear and it has a long incubation period Air travel should have been shut down more aggressively much earlier.
