Well, I have eaten ze bugs before, and it wasn't because Bill Gates told me to. I had some crickets and a scorpion in Thailand, because I was drunk and there was a vendor on the street selling fried crickets and scorpions. The crickets were mediocre. It mostly tasted like the soy sauce the vendor sprayed on them. The scorpion was downright bad, it was just all shell. I don't think Thai people actually eat those bugs very often, I think they mostly sell them to drunk tourists as a gimmick. Never saw them selling those in any of the smaller islands or villages I went to, they were really only in Bangkok, and on some of the roads that are heavily traveled by backpackers flying in and out of Thailand. Regardless, kind of a shit food. I still like crabs, tho...
