This is wrong, at least on the chitin aspect of it, which it spells very incorrectly. In addition to be produced in arthropods, chitin is one of the most common polysaccharides in the world, because it is the primary material in the cell walls of fungus. Every mushroom you have ever eaten's primary dry weight is chitin. Some people do have chitin sensitivities, but that is usually when chitin gets into the wrong place, like your lungs.

They want you to eat the bugs, but this is not the reason why. I suspect it has more to do with humiliation. Really affirming their status as the chosen people, and our status as those who were chosen to be their squalid underlings...
