Perhaps you should stop, pray directly to our Lord directly, and invest in his word for yourself. Catholics are saved, but the religion as a whole puts a lot of roadblocks in the way of speaking to our God.
And I do agree with your assessment on the children.

I've been occasionally attending Eastern Orthodox Mass w/ my Protestant wife. You cannot prop up unapologetic sin and be a Christian.

They call those services Divine Liturgies. I've been able to attend a few during my travels and I liked what I saw.
