This could be another DEI problem. Things like customer subscriptions are handled by non technical people—account managers and sales people. They’re not the brightest bunch to begin with and they are the kind of departments you can flood with DEI hires without things immediately falling apart. People like that have administrative power to activate and shut down accounts though. Eventually one of them will do an “inadvertent misconfiguration” and by that point it’s too late.
