As a society, we need to ask ourselves how much effort we're willing to allocate to mental illness. You're correct, most professionals exacerbate the illness rather than acknowledge the root cause.
I think those that ayre too far gone should be helped, but society as a whole needs to realize that some people are just hopelessly broken and will be nothing but a burden to everyone.
Either locked away forever in a mental institution, tossed into a volcano, or left naked in the wilderness, something needs to be done with them. We shouldn't allow lunatics to run around doing terrorism (like that ziz cult) and infecting the youth with their degenerate ideas.
