Have an appointment tomorrow with Auburn, the only vet who will see Felton for this kind of injury. I feel so bad for him, I was going to try to fix it myself but the break/shattering is so bad I got really queasy and I don't have heavy duty pain killers on hand for him either.
I can't remember if it was here or voat where we discussed whether it was humane to remove goat horns. I used to think it was no big deal to let them keep them as long as you have horn proof fencing and keep hazards out of the pen, but even with acres to roam to get away from each other they still hurt one another. I've had does miscarry due to ramming from the one doe I have with horns. Used to have a doe who got stuck in the fencing every day, sometimes multiple times a day at our old place with the wrong kind of fencing. It's terrible having to disbud babies but after this I feel a lot better about it.
I hope he lives through the process of removing it. It's really high risk to put them under but it's the only way they can deal with it.
