Tesla are just about the only company to make good electric vehicles, which have a ridiculously good battery pack life.

Electricity costs about 13 cents a kWh. To drive 150,000 miles in an electric car will cost you about $4900 in electricity if you drive like a moron, and about $3,900 if you are more skilled. The big clue on whether you drive like an idiot is whether your mileage is below the sticker mileage.

Electricity costs in the uk are going to be upwards of 40p a Kwh by October, or 50c.

Buying a £5000 car that needs a new battery for along with prices like that is utter shit.

I'd buy a tesla if I had a way to power it off grid. If I had 100k to piss away on a car I wouldn't give a fuck about fuel prices either though.

a dealership quoted a Chevy Bolt owner in November 2018 $16,250 for a battery replacement, with $870 for labor.

According to a post in the MyNissanLeaf.com forum, as of Jan 30, 2020, the cost of labor and replacement of a 24 kWh battery in a Nissan Leaf is $5,500. It appears the battery itself would cost $4,500

A replacement battery for a 2017 to 2018 VW e-Golf is quoted as $23,442.91

Like I said. Better to just buy a new one and drive it properly than risk 2nd hand.
