So we're learning something, people. We're learning that lithium batteries are dangerous and unreliable for mass energy storage. It's a thing worth knowing. Fortunately we have other storage methods -- a lump of coal, for example. Or a gallon of gasoline. Or a tank of natural gas. They store energy just fine, as they have been doing for a long time. We know how to keep them safe. We know how to transport them. It's what is called a "proven technology."

Lithium batteries are an unproven technology, when it comes to mass energy storage. They don't make practical sense, and they never made practical sense. They were the crackpot idea of liberals, who think they need to hate anything that is traditional and proven and try to destroy it.

I've read that the heavy metals in coal include thorium, which apparently can be used as fuel for nuclear based energy. If we had a non-kiked society, we would capture that during the coal fire process and store it for later use.
