FYI, when smart people are talking about loss of ice, they are talking about sea ice. Water has a high heat mass, so the currents can carry that heat to arctic regions and melt whatever ice it comes across. Obviously, this isn't going to affect land locked ice. Especially when that ice is sub-zero even in the summer.
So, that's why they aren't talking about it. Nobody is expecting Greenland to lose ice. Or Antarctica, except for the ice shelves, which still have a fuck ton of ice to melt.
