You didn't like bladerunner 2049? I thought it was a great followup and the fact that it wasn't diversified made it even better. Agreed that Dick's story is very far from the movie adaptations.

Number II was eh to me. Some of the soundtrack was awesome but something was missing I felt. I hope the new series goes off world and explores a day in the life of a replicant a lot more.

i actually liked 2049.

i also like both the original and newer total recall, the original was a fuckin classic verhoeven/arnie movie and was great by itself.

blade runner and total recall both came from phillip k dick stories (do androids dream of electric sheep/we can remember it for you wholesale) and watching old blade runner and new total recall they do look like they belong together.

I haven't seen the new total recall yet for the same reason it took years for me to watch 2049. Afraid that they butchered the story or went off the deep end with wokeness. I'll have to give it a watch then.

I haven't read 'we can remember it for you wholesale'. I've read a small amount of Dick's writings.
