He was funny lol. And the technique is indeed called the "rear naked choke" despite the mechanism of it. So "choking" is not entirely far off to warrant any correction.

Yes, it's called a "blood choke"; choking doesn't always involve air, the definition of choke is to "restrict or stop the flow of something".

Handy guide for the filthy casual: If someone is able to speak clearly, without sounding like one of the midgets from Wizard of Oz, THEY ARE NOT BEING WIND-CHOKED. Wind choking is extremely dangerous, as it can break bones/cartilage in the neck and kill a person.

Blood chokes, on the other hand- Blood chokes simply pinch arteries (which have the texture almost of garden hosing), preventing flow of blood to the brain. The choking person will be able to speak clearly, for around 7-12 seconds (longer if the choker isn't choking well, or if the defender knows how to defend)- then they pass out. If the choke is let go of quickly after the person goes out, they'll wake up in a matter of seconds and ask "What happened?"

Duh, how bout you follow your own advice. Words have more than a single meaning/ definition. Trying to argue only the most obvious definition of a word applies across the board is plain dumb, ignorant and arrogant

Walk into any half decent gym or dojo or just a fcking library, lol, and tell them there's no such thing as a 'blood choke', tell them they're wrong, have always been wrong, and all the dictionaries are wrong except just the first definition listed, film it and post it here. Let us see you get laughed the fck out of there ....
