I see it a erasing one more tiny bit of White history. That aesthetic came down out of the Appalachian mountains with the hard-working farmers and miners that pioneered a life there. Reminders of these people are reminders that the modern American civilization was built on the foundation laid by their struggles. The remodeled Waffle House/Dollar General frankenhybrid erases this.
