It would be great for chickens, they love bugs.
Well the question is then how humans will react to those novel proteins from insects and how long before they start putting it directly into human food or making human food products from it. A person allergic to shellfish and chitins, there's a good chance something like that could literally kill them.
There are nasty proteins and other things detrimental to human health in bugs. Chickens, on the other hand, can digest bugs no problem and thrive on a bug diet.
No, I won't eat ze bugs. Fortunately I don't buy from most of the manufacturers listed and will be looking to find other manufacturers to replace the few items I do.
