A lot of Harley's shit is Chinese made. They simply "last touch" a lot of it here after import and claim American made.
I never understood the Harley obsession with Harley. Their engines are shit and their bike quality is on par with chinesium. Granted, their Buel purchase of technology and real engineers helped a lot (1920s technology to 1970s-ish technology). But their quality is still lackluster. Last I checked they still generally don't race because they can never finish.
