I've been to a few BJ locations recently and noticed Bud Light has not been discounted. They're still trying to get $21/case for it. I can't tell if people are actually buying it because they seem to keep all the beer inventory stocked.
I'm very suspicious of the sales numbers reported. A 30% sales decrease means that they're still selling 70% of their usual volume. I have not seen a single shopping cart with Bud Light, while seeing plenty of other brands in people's cart. Of course, my observation isn't very scientific, but I should have seen at least 1 shopping cart with Bud Light, given the reported numbers.
