The Bid Light experience has informed investors, so now even the hint of a similar event causes them to pre-emptively dump stock causing the price to crater quickly. This can create a self sustaining price spiral.

To properly push the point home at least one of these big companies must be driven to bankruptcy and totally destroyed. Otherwise, it's just making an opportunity for (((investors))) to pick up stock at a discount.

The most vulnerable are the companies that rely on brand recognition. People advertise Budweiser beer when they’re seen drinking a can of it. Now that is backfiring. People don’t want to be seen supporting them.

Target might be okay in a few months if they knock off the behaviour that is bothering people. No one will know that you bought your blue jeans at Target. Budweiser and The North Face have become toxic brands. That could be death for their parent companies.

So far I am impressed with the Budweiser (Anheuser-Busch InBev) boycott. I cynically expected it to blow over in a month or two like all the other corporate PR disasters. It looks like it could be permanent.
