All these comments don't matter unless real customers actually follow through, which most probably won't.

I don't even blame most people. As many issues as the world has people can't run their lives around responding to it. When they need a new car most will buy what makes sense for them whether they like the company or not.

Autos are particularly difficult to go after because most people don't get a new one very often. Too hard to send a clean message even from the minority that might remember when their next purchase comes.

To make a difference it would take mass organizing to target a handful of companies whose products the average customer purchases regularly, and then actually have millions of real customers just stop overnight.
