>Claims of cowardice have particular purchase among Trump's followers. Coward is a one-word rebuttal that not only attempts to end an argument, but also aims to discredit the person who made it. Who wants to listen to a coward? Who wants to be known as a coward? Sort of like the Democrats calling anyone who disagrees with them a racist. Who wants to listen to a racist? Who wants to be known as a racist? There's nothing wrong with being courageous. It's a virtue and has been recognized as such throughout history. And there's certainly nothing praiseworthy about being a coward. The heroes perform great deeds, the cowards hide and watch. But using the term "coward" in the same way the left uses the term "racist" is not rational or useful.
