Rejection isn't enough. It needed to be made illegal, and it needs to be violently discouraged by people in the streets. Think homosexuality in the 1950s. We can never get rid of it, but we can stop pretending that it is normal, or a good thing. There are always going to be freaks out there, but they need to be called "freaks" to their faces, loudly and often.
