What are the aphids eating?
I just grow vegetables on my small property, and we already have lots of rose bushes around. I think having roses around (favorite aphid food) keeps the aphids away from my food and confined to the rose bush.
Buying lady bugs is okay and kinda fun but they all disperse very quickly and in a few days youll only see slightly elevated levels. Its not like they are gonna all stay on your property and open up a huge breeding center there.
Lady bugs like my artichoke plant from what I can tell. I think they like sleeping in all the cracks and ridges in the plant.
They turn plant juice and fiber into sugar. If your leaves look dirty that's the surgery aphid shit
Yeah they kinda stick to the roses and even still i dont get them that bad. I just blast them off the plant with my hose when they get out of hand. I grow veggies right near the roses but they dont bother the other stuff
Why are you getting dv'ed? Who did you piss off
They're eating my lupins, Lillies, everything except lavender and rosemary. I think I will purchase some ladybirds. Interesting, I never knew aphids liked roses- my neighbours have roses, so now it all makes sense.
Your neighbor is fueling the infestation
Exactly
