I've been on the receiving end of Mushroom Management - Feed'em shit and keep them in the dark.
Never tried growing them. There should be plenty of videos on the subject on YT.

I’ve tried it didn’t go well I might give it another try in spring
We have done Lions' Mane, and Oyster using kits from North Spore (northspore.com). We have grown Wine Caps free-range in the garden. We altered a common method of laying wood shavings down and then adding spore to that.
We're going to try again this year, and j will post the methods we try and results thereof.
I can recommend a few books that helped me
I've grown mushrooms at home. It's a bit tedious at times, but not that difficult. Check put shroomery.org for good info. Yes, a lot of what they have there is directed towards psilocybins, but it applies to gourmet, and medicinal ones too. The most difficult part was creating a sterile space for blending the mycelium with whatever I was growing it in.
