Pugs are god damned ridiculous, but this idea is 100% reasonable. They make all sorts of weird sounds. All the time. "Hi Pug!" *exhales, snorts, makes a whiny noise that sounds like "mrruff", and blinks one eyeball loudly* "Okay."
