I have the Logitech G502 Proteus, I've been really happy with it and I only paid like 30 bucks for the thing on clearance at Target. Before that I had the CORSAIR M65, and that was a solid mouse too, but I prefer the Logitech.

I had a Deathadder mouse and that was okay but it broke after like 6 months, not a good product imo.

What's the big difference?

It's the exact same mouse, just built poorly and they force you to use software that sucks.

You know how you can bind macros to buttons on the mouse? Yeah, can't do that anymore unless the machine you're using has Logitech GHub installed AND RUNNING.

Else, you can store macros on the mouse itself, but they won't work.

This issue has been reported since the G502 LightSpeed, and the newest, G502 HERO has the EXACT same problem.

I have a G502 Proteus as well, don't get anything past that.

G502 is an incredible mouse, just DO NOT GET ANYTHING PAST THE PROTEUS.

That sucks, idk why companies insist on taking good products and messing them up.

I'm between a steel series rubberized sensei and a zowie fk-1 atm. Can't decide which I like more. FPS is my favorite genre. I've got an old razor naga customized w/ third party software for other stuff. Razer software itself is garbage. It's also nice for editing in gimp and other software once you have it set up the way you like.

Both those look like some nice low profile options.

Specs for the zowie sensor is supposed to be better but running them at the same dpi I can't really tell the difference.

I use a weird looking mouse who is trying to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

I use one one the ergonomic Logitec laser mouses. Not optimized for gaming, but it fits my hand and I'm used to it since I use it for work as well.

What mouse do you use for gaming?

CST L-Trac 2545.

So good, I purchased ten - getting a bulk discount - and keep the rest in a box. These should last me until I die, or at least until I can stop using computers forever.

And yes, I know >trackballs but if 99% of what one plays is RTS and you've mastered the basics of the basics of manual coordination then it works perfectly well, with the notable upsides of not aggravating the RSI and also being able to buy decent hardware without it being obnoxiously gamer-branded gaming-gear shaped like megatron's ballsack and encrusted with enough LEDs to light up a small mining town.

Besides, on those rare occasions when I do get press-ganged into a game or two of Unreal Tournament 2004 then I can always pull out the old Intellimouse 1.0. Works great, has an actual ball for a sensor, and I'm reasonably sure it's powered by the souls of the damned and can only be destroyed by hurling it into the fires of Mt. Doom.

Do you like it?

I've managed to go half a century without liking something, and I'm sure as hell not about to start now!

Hands down the best gaming mouse I ever used was the RAT 7. The changeable parts let me fit it to my hand better than any other mouse I've used PLUS I could add or remove weight. The software was also pretty good, and it had a long, corded cable. However the buttons were too sensitive and after one to many accidental fires as a result of just holding the mouse I stopped using it. IDK if they were all like that though.

Currently using a Logitech G502 that's a couple years old. It's okay but I'm constantly on the look out for something better.
