I've been using linux for almost 2 decades, win 7 was my last windows OS on a single standalone machine. Gaming on linux has come a long way between steam and lutris in particular. However, there is a lot to consider the definition of "run" in this case, if you ever look at the protondb site, for example, there are several categories, straight up borked won't run no matter what, and then there is native > platinum > gold > silver etc. The majority of newer linux users will have difficulty playing games in the silver/gold category, which used to be the majority of games. I am happy to see that is no longer the case these past few years.
