This is all so tiring at this point. I am so happy I don't have cable and only hear about stupid movies like this either from people I work with or here then I continue to ignore that they exist.

I hate the argument, but I think they do have a point. The target audience is kids under 10. There's plenty of kids movies that look like a fever dream or are outright obnoxious, but appeal greatly to their target audience. Shit, look at Peewee Herman, Barney, Frozen, Coco Melon, etc. Same issues, and same argument
If they wanted to sell it to kids, the main cast would've somewhat represented the target audience, i.e., kids. Instead, we got jason momoa fruitcaked up, some loser chick that looks like she'll become a radfem as soon as she enters college, a hideous and obese sherilla, and ONE boy that maybe resembles your typical Minecraft player (looks like a crypto-kike though).

You'd think they'd at least put in the effort of making the main character of Minecraft look like the game version, but nope. It's just (((jack black))) in a blue shirt. I'm sure all the kids will recognize popular children's icon jack black!
