I played a lot of Sim City 2000. Not so much the others on the list. I played the Duke Nukem demo and thought it was funny.

My favorites that I had and played for hours and hours on end growing up were:

1988: EGA Trek (myabandonware.com)

1989: Castle of the Winds (classicreload.com)

1989: MILLENNIUM: RETURN TO EARTH (myabandonware.com)

1990: Spaceward Ho! (myabandonware.com)

1992: Kiloblaster (classicdosgames.com)

1992: Star Control II (gog.com), Open sourced version (sc2.sourceforge.net)

1993: Solar Winds (playdosgames.com)

1993: Wing Commander: Privateer (gog.com)

1993: Zone 66 (myabandonware.com)

1994: Star Reach (myabandonware.com)

1995: Warcraft II (gog.com)

1996: Privateer 2: The Darkening (gog.com)

1997: Wing Commander: Prophecy (gog.com)

1999: Alpha Centauri (gog.com)

2000: Tachyon: The Fringe (gog.com)

I also spent countless hours playing Pokémon Blue on an emulator on a Windows 95 machine.

edit:

I just wanted to add that if you play Alpha Centauri it's worth using "Scient's Unofficial Patch" to get rid of all the bugs in the game:

Forgot about star control 2. We had a blast with the VS mode on the Sega Genesis.
