With Steam and most importantly CCP Games (Icelandic developers of EVE Online) ending support for win7/8, it appears I have a choice of win10 or 11.

From what experience I have with windows 10 (work PCs and a laptop), I really dont like that OS.

So I'm curious about 11.. is it worse?

I'm not really considering linux an option, because developers obviously cater to the overwhelming market share for windows. Linux and MacOS are afterthoughts, and you have to keep in mind that some software won't run on the platforms.

Would you even be able to install 10? I like 10 much better than 11 but it is a struggle to keep it from auto-updating to 11.

Maybe not. I haven't really looked into that.
