Same. I suck at video games now. Couldn't get past the bear in Skyrim at a friend's. Just let me play dominoes at the pub in red dead redemption
Play Skyrim on the lowest difficulty at first. It's difficult but not terribly, and you can cheese your way through it with all the bugs in the thing.
If you really want to fuck with the game it's easy enough to use player.setav <variable> <number> to set your health and stamina to god levels. I did that because I was more interested in the story and the visuals than the hack n slash part.
Yeah, there's quite a bit of literature they put in there
I've long since finished the main quests and DLC packs, but I sometimes load it up just to run around and admire the artwork, and sometimes find a small side quest that I didn't do, or some new way to cheese the game.
