I played a good amount of it closer to when it came out with friends. Best to run your own server and increase the rate of taming and gathering so it's not an insane time-suck.

Saw the tame time early and adjusted. I upped it for myself, so shit takes like 15 minutes instead of an hour.

Sooo much more fun that way. Conan Exiles is also really good if you haven't played that, I think it's better than ARK personally.

I've thought about picking it up but I'm full up on games at the moment. Almost at the end of Horizon: Forbidden West (8.5), and about 1/3rd of the way through Ghost of Tsushima (9.0) and have my pre-order in for Hogwarts Legacy.

Have you played it or are seeing if its worth it?

I got it when it was a free grab. If you were considering buying it, wait until the re-release shortly when they upgrade to unreal 5 engine.

I play it. Enjoying it. Haven't scratched the surface on it really. Granted over halfway leveled, but i still stay my bitch ass on the beach mostly...

How can you play Horizon FW? With that ugly fat creature of a main character. I'm playing the first one and its so boring and average.

Like all survival games. How far did you get? Kill the bosses?

A couple Guardians, but never fought an Overseer or a Rockwell. The boss fights aren't too bad. Aggressive up close combat will get you killed a lot. Fights seem drawn out (on purpose).

Tried it, realized the reasons I hate playing games with other people, quit. All your work can be destroyed by griefers while your away and there's jack all you can do about it. The well established guilds and raiding parties make the game unplayable for new or solo folks. And the size...my god, the size of the game in terms of hard drive storage space....

This is why I play in a private space without griefers. Not looking for a PVP game. Real life is enough PVP... I'd rather enjoy the time I choose to relax in.

It's most fun coop PvE only IMO on a private server.

I am ejoying it. I got it free though. The upgrade has people bitching though... and the devs looked jew with its handling.

I run a server on-and-off depending on if people want to play. Its not online at the moment though.
