Head Judge was a nonbinary who used they/them pronouns. Boy who got disqualified was literally driven to tears because he had spent over $800 to enter the tournament. He also shares how prior to the incident, he was suffering from depression for a while, and had contemplated suicide a few times. The emotional trauma he endured made him want to immediately run out into the middle of a road and kill himself right then and there.

Anyone who gets off on power-tripping like this are literal cancer, and such actions should be considered nothing less than a declaration of war. Victims of such abuse should do nothing less than go scorched earth against such individuals/groups.

Ok, so you are referring to children engaging in everyday kid activities without adult supervision. Which would be one small group of friends at most. The competitive event we are discussing involves one of the biggest commercial franchises of our time. Drawing dozens of competitors to each event. There is no way any organization hosting such a commercial event, will allow even 17 or 16 year olds to be judges.

In any case, power-tripping is not something that is exclusive to adults. It absolutely happens among kids/minors. In fact, power-tripping is one of the main reasons that bullying still exists in schools.

"...involves one of the biggest commercial franchises of our time."

And have you ever once stopped to wonder how, who, and why?

I find it hilarious that the very same people who will breathlessly opine about the "globohomopedo elite" and "groomers" seem to have this huge blind spot when it comes to activities and events that have had enormous sums of money pumped into them and seem to be custom tailored for the express purpose of giving adults an excuse to be in constant close proximity to children, playing a children's game.

Because they're too old?
