I wanted this game to be interesting, it had all kinds of good hype. I never ended up buying it because it launched as bug riddled crap. A couple of months ago I asked in the official discord server if it was worth buying now. Some rando got his panties in a twist over my simple question and another rando said no. I left the discord and had forgotten about the game until I came upon this post.
It was enjoyable, but bland. (my copy was gifted to me, for what it's worth) Personally, I enjoy exploring all the areas the designers didn't really intend for you to be able to access, (like climbing skyscrapers from the outside) but I know that that's not really what most people are looking for. Depending on who I was suggesting it to, I'd say buy it at 40-70% off. Also fwiw, as a sample size of 1, I had no game breaking bugs from day one. (maybe dropped 15 minutes progress a couple of times, and had some limited goofy visual effects, but nothing game-breaking).
It's a shooter
And dirty Edit. Some hook nose bitches on here but some Whote beauties too
It felt more like a slasher to me, the shooting was kind of a pain in the ass. It was way easier to just hack and slash your way through everyone.
launch was bug riddled crap
Not in the slightest on PC without dicking with the frames or fov slider or whatever other stupid shit people turn to 11 and break the entire existence. Maybe 2 crashes in the first 60 hours. I have been fucked harder by a save that kept syncing to the same spot in Uplay.
I guess to be more fair with my review, I had a i5-6600k & 970ti and played on 'medium'. Even after upgrades, high is more playable than 'ultra'.
I think the worst crasher of the last couple of decades for me was Battlefield 2 or 3 on EA's Origin(?). Moving the mouse sharply up and to the left would lead to a blue-screen seizure. (did all the standard driver/game/os reinstalls, and got the same result, so just dropped it for a couple of years until I had changed up a bunch of hardware, then it ran fine)
It's good enough now on ps5.
