Great for collectors. No supply, no way to sell games other than selling a Wii full of them. Cha-ching.
I bought the WiiU the first week it came out. I had been out of gaming for a decade so had never played any Wii games, hadn't played a Nintendo since the GES days. It was a refreshing wade back into gaming. Bought a PC a few years later.
WiiU was underrated, but I preferred the 3DS bc it had pokemon.
I've never played a 3ds or a Pokemon game.
If you get a chance, I'd recommend it. I agree with you though about PC gaming taking the lead this generation. The video card price bottleneck has done wonders for formerly stagnant software innovation.
