I sent my original back when it died, the only option Sony gave me was to trade it for a slim model.

I still have the slim hooked up to the living room TV, but I rarely use it.

I never played last of us though.. maybe I should.

Last of us is IMO the best game on the ps3. In my top 5 favorite games of all time. Just dont play the second one.

I played it in ps3 and only bought a ps4 to play it again on 1080p. It is the best game ever made, and I'm putting it above starcraft 2, ocarina of time, resident evil 2 and half life.

And yes, don't play 2, I read what they did with the story and completely skipped it. They changed the writer (a woman, who also wrote the whole uncharted series), with a kike niel druckmann, who literally skinned his own face on the character that spits on and kills the main character in the second game. Fucking stupid game. I'm really pissed off about what they did. They even made the main protagonist fall in love with some jewosh bitch and insert holocaust crap into there as well.

I found it amusing when all the people who refused to listen to the leaks were pissed off they were stuck with a $70 garbage game after calling us haters and bigots.

Following that up with PewDiePie killing TLOU2's remaining momentum & hype by doing a live play through when he got his copy. So everyone got to watch in real time how much of a POS that game is.

Last of Us 1 wasn’t really all that great either

I already have one. Definitely my favorite console!

My original 60GB Fat model died. I brought it back to life twice by taking it apart and heat gunning the chips. After that I sold it on ebay.

My brother and I shared an original 60GB Fat. When it died we paid to send it into Sony for repairs. They tried to buy it back from us multiple times. We still have it and yes it still works.

My 60gb original PS3 is still trucking alright and I still use it on occasion.
