Maybe about 2005, I downloaded what was then the latest Tomb Raider demo, and it had some evil DRM crap in it so you wouldn't pirate it. I asked on a couple of forums as to why they would put that kind of crap into a free demo, and they said it was easier to leave it in. I haven't messed with any new games since, even though I don't ever connect windows to the internet.
