Haven't bought a game since this internet required was on the game packaging. The last game I bought in the late 90's was diablo2 and I registered it then GAVE away my code to someone on the internet since I hate multiplayer. I like playing against the game not another person. I play to blow off steam but having to be polite to some asshole I just met online is not allowing me to cut free but puts more pressure on me making the game purchase a waste of time.
Turn off chat and just play, you think it's polite to own a bunch of noobs? You think it makes them feel good when they get mudstomped by a silent assasin. Even games that require voice chat, you can give macro commands to your team, you don't need to say a word. 90% of the time, if your team is on point you don't have to say a damn thing to win, everyone just does their job.
I don't play to beat other player, I can't stand competing. I just want to play against my best play to date. I am improving my own play and don't have to give a fuck about anyone elses score since that would mean competing. BTW I HATE sports. I don't like winning or losing just playing a game trying to not die to many times.
Even at work I don't care if I'm better than anyone else. I just work at the same speed and don't care if I don't meet expectations since if I did exceed expectations they'd expect that daily and I'm not capable of daily pushing the limit or care to. If I got paid more for more I might but I'm not greedy in any way just need enough but not excessive. Don't want to have a fancier car than anyone else since buying something makes it seem that the person with the best car has the smallest dick or something they are making up for like compassion or a brain.
You can only get smarter by playing a smarter opponent. I can destroy the computer at chess if I play the computer enough, even on the hardest difficulty, but a human player is different. It's the difference between live instruments and electronic music, it's the little mistakes that musicians make that makes them stand out.
Haven't bought a game either since like 2010.
