So, when he got his chance to “reimagine” the sequels, he made something that looks like it was devised by the corporate junior graphic artist for an insurance company, and animated by a sixth grader for a class project.

Too bad it's not making a game for itself. When you have a series, there are certain expectations that things continue in a manner that we're used to. Especially here, when it feels like a step backwards in the quality of the artwork. Dire Straits called, "Money For Nothing" would like it's video back in 1985.
