Use MInetest instead. It's a similar game built, from the ground up, with the idea that the main game should only be the base code, and the visual goodies and effects are extensions.

I gave up minecraft except for my old personal 1.6.4 server that we cracked years ago when it became obvious Microsoft was going to get heavy-handed.

I dont play many video games anymore. It's a shame a bunch if world's will probably be deleted or left abandoned from this though

I suspect a lot of accounts have been abandoned already due to the fact that you have to migrate your old mojang account over to a Microsoft XBOX account and profile in order to continue playing. Microsoft wants a lot of information to do that.

I just went through my historical email records and found the transaction IDs for my accounts, and asked for them to be deleted.

They want to be like Discord, where even private channels that are invite-only are monitored and you can be banned for wrongspeak.
