Let me guess:

  • Over-engineered graphics engine that forces you to spend $1000 on hardware upgrades
  • Poor art direction resulting very HD but boring visuals
  • Shallow and bug-ridden gameplay
  • Occasional "cool shit" moments that have no bearing on actual experience but make for good youtube clips
  • Few and repetitive enemy types
  • Idiot NPCs with dialog and plots that insult your intelligence
  • Basic bitch enemy AI from 30 years ago

I wanna go back to when Bethesda games weren't shit.

It's the same shitty Bethesda-quality animations. The gunplay also looks like shit, which there's no excuse for since id Software is owned by Bethesda. I can't wait to explore bustling metropolises with 5 buildings, and 20 (unkillable) people in them, except now they're spread over 1000 planets!

So far it's getting a resounding "Meh" from me. I'll wait until the Game of the Year edition comes out, pirate it, and fill it with mods that makes all the women hot, and then lets me press them into sex slavery.

Have to give credit to hello games though. Any other dev would have said fuck it and just continued on with releasing paid dlc or just outright abandoned the game. Instead they turned the game around completely and released huge amounts of additional content and haven't charged a single cent for it.
