Got a free code for 3 months of PC game pass, so I'm currently using it to play guardians of the galaxy and Prodeus.
Gotg is a soy marvel/disney IP so it's pretty cringe thanks to the typical capeshit writing where every character just has to make a witty remark. It's as if redditors wrote the dialogue. It also has a fair amount of woke messaging in it, mainly muh gurrrl powerrr. Most of the females have that short hair dyke cut and are all presented as strooong independent women who don't need no man. The team members also shit on the main character an unfair amount. The writers probably did this because he's a straight white male (although he is a degenerate since he hooks up humanoid females, which would make it bestiality, yech). The gameplay is ok and there does seem to be a possibility of branching paths (not like I'll replay this once I'm done). The only positive things I can say about it are that the graphics are nice and it's a decent PC port.
Prodeus on the other hand is fucking badass. It's one of those "boomer shooters," i.e. an FPS that is reminiscent of the 90s PC gaming era in terms of visual fidelity, style and gameplay. Heck, there are even visual filters that try to mimic the look of a CRT monitor. The game is fast paced, very bloody, and chaotic and all the levels have hidden secrets to discover. There are tons of guns that have two modes of fire, with more weapons being added via updates. The soundtrack is also pretty great as it done by Andrew Hulshult, who I think started out by doing covers of DOOM and has currently been doing music for lots of shooters (including the two DLCs for DOOM ETERNAL). And while most of the guns require reloading, the ammo capacities are large enough such that when it's time to reload you should have enough breathing room to do so. My only few gripes are that the shotgun's alt fire is OP, which they can probably address by increasing the number of bullets it takes to use, the mag capacity of the dual SMGs seem a bit low to me, which they can address by simply increasing the capacities by a bit, and the enemy varieties are a tad lacking. This game is in early access so some of the aspects will appear incomplete (such as the menus, UI, and the map), but they're regularly updating it with additional features and improvements. I'm definitely picking up the full game whenever it gets out of early access.
I'd like to try a Spider-Man game. I hear they are like GTA 5 kind of.
Whatever you do, don't get the latest two. They're made by a massively woke faggoty-ass company (owned by soyny predictably) that even had BLM shit in their latest Spider-man game.
Damn. What is a good one?
