The purpose of board games is to teach your children how to think, cooperate and have minor conflict without losing their minds over loss and failure.
Certain board games are better than others. Scrabble, Yahtzee, Monopoly, Dominoes, Chess, Checkers, Risk, Stratego, UNO, Poker, Hearts, Frog Pond Fractions, and Boggle are all something you should play with your kids from time to time, in order to help them be able to think, reason and problem solve.
