In one major error, a Nintendo customer was sent a repaired Switch with a different customer’s account and save data. In a Reddit post, the customer said, “I hold United Repair (sic) accountable for their unprofessional and lack of care in handling my property. They had complete disregard for my console and save data and have cost me my 90+ hours that I’d put into Zelda BotW. I also hold Nintendo accountable for their lack of understanding [of] the modern gamer and their need to be able to back-up save data.”

So he considers playing the game work? Kind of sad.

I like randomly deleting my saves when a game was played long enough ago I've forgotten where I was.

If I ever considered it work I'd stop playing.

I guess the kind of people that buy a switch are limp enough that using a controller on your arse counts as work.

I mean it's annoying to have your progress erased even if you like the game.

I'd never trust the data when I sent off a device for repair. I'd make sure I could transfer the account to another device, and copy all the data off.

With a PC, yes. Sounds like Nintendo makes that hard. IdK
