I can see it working, but with some hitches. You've been able to do this forever with Gamecubes by using a memory card-SD adapter and booting through Swiss Launcher (which has its own myriad precursors I won't get into).

In older versions of Swiss, the games were choppy to the point of being borderline unplayable. It works well now, but still has occasional audio hangups. There are better modern methods of booting ISOs nowadays, anyway.

PS2 games are typically larger in file size, so I hope their memory port bus speed is higher than the Gamecube's.

From what the video was saying, the PS2 memory card port has higher speed than the USB 1.1 port. So that might be enough speed for most games.

Yeah, that should do the trick. I didn't watch it; it was more fun to muse and speculate. I prefer HDD mods for PS2 anyway.

Yea, the HDD loader is great.
