Is the Xbox series x the new Xbox generation. Or is it just like a better Xbox one. I mean obviously the ps5 is the new PlayStation but idk if the Xbox series x is the new one cause Microsoft has these stupid fucking names. I would get a PlayStation but I want all my grand theft auto online shit to transfer.

You wanted an answer, I gave it to you.

The supply chain situation is unprecedented in the history of the first world and despite boomer propaganda which is attempting to set the narrative for the upcoming midterm elections, it's not getting better. Quite the opposite, really.

Whether you are in a hurry or not, whether you think buying an end of life console is a rational play or not, it is wholly irrelevant to the question and the consideration the answer posed. Like I intimated with my second reply, that you're really not aware of what's happening in the world is a perspective that lends itself to a 'what the fuck ever' approach to life.

So, what the fuck ever... Do or don't... But don't try to pass the nature of the current situation as even remotely comparable with anything that has happened since the advent of the modern world. Buying in to a console, mid-cycle, usually has an entry cost fractional to that of the release MSRP, doing so today requires an entry cost measured in multiples of release MSRP. The buy-in cost delta is easily three to five times what it would otherwise be in a normal economy and for any rational mind, that changes the value proposition entirely.
