According to her LinkedIn profile she is the Lead Game Designer working at Black Bird Interactive on Hardspace: Shipbreaker, a game I play and enjoy. I don't know what possessed the company to hire her as a Lead Game Designer, but since she started working there at the end of last year the game has visibly deteriorated. "Major" patches are released in a buggy state and there have been three wipes of player save files--complete and utter disrespect for player time investment into the game. Best of all they started adding a story into the game, one so badly written (and of course woke) that I've never seen something so bad in a game of this caliber. It's a complete joke. At launch, before she started working there, the game had a positive score of low to mid 90% on Steam, which is stellar for a game. This week it hit a low of 76%.
From a quick google search, in the past two years this wonderful person has: - Falsely accused an innocent man of running over BLM protesters - Was fired from ArenaNet (laid off with no warning according to her, and she had to leave the country within 60 days because being fired meant she no longer had a work visa). reddit thread has a lot of details. - And now she has been cancelled from IGDA due to multi-year long accusations of her being a shitty person.
Those additional details on what became of it after it was booted from ArenaNet make me happy. Bitch deserved it all and more.
Sorry to hear it infected the game you like though.
