Wouldn't be any different than the current EAC crap that holds back Linux gaming currently. The difference is you'd have the option to not have it, rather than your OS forcing you to have it just to run it in the first place.

Yeah the Windows 11 thing is bullshit. I wonder if 11 will be one of the versions no one uses. I never touched Windows 8. I've been pretty happy with Windows 10, but people trash it all the time.
