Man I loved that game.
this was the first game i caused a rage quit in multiplayer. while he was massing tanks in his base i used artillery to dig a moat around my opponent's bridges. he was land locked while i flew in with engineers and captured his command center, then sold it. he was mined out and had spent all his money on tanks which he could not use. I then flew in with one helicopter and started picking off his tanks. it took 8 trips to reload the chopper and 4 tanks dead before he realized these tanks had no way to attack air like the old mamoths could.
it was awesome!
