Let's be honest 99% of gamers are insufferable bugmen. Just look at the freakout over Blizzard because some females were hit on by their managers. Pandering to the CCP - completely fine. Mass layoffs and underpaying staff - A OK. Few women crying about discrimination, protests and gamers quitting blizzard games en mass. There's no saving this hobby.
True but "saving" the hobby doesn't need to done. I like occasionally playing games and I hate "gamer" culture

True, and there are so many good games that are still fun to play that have been made over the past 30, or even 40 years.
Indie, bro. Indie. They're the only games worth playing, anymore, and there's so many of them.
Just be sure to find a reviewer that matches your tastes in games.
